Jayarkot (district)

Jayarkot ( Nepali. जाजरकोट जिल्ला ) is one of the 75 districts of Nepal . It is part of the Bheri zone, which, in turn, is part of the Midwest region of the country.

In the west it borders with the Dilekkh district , in the north and northwest with the Kalykot , Jumla and Dolpa areas of the Karnali zone, in the east with the Salyan and Rukum areas of the Rapti zone and in the south with the Surkhet region. The area of ​​the district is 2230 km². The administrative center is the city of Jayarkot.

The population according to the 2011 census is 171 304 people, of which 85 537 are men and 85 767 are women [1] . According to the 2001 census, the population totaled 134,868 people [2] .
