Biography
She was born on December 23, 1952 in the village of Visimo-Utkinsk, Visimsky District, Sverdlovsk Region, in the family of Olympia Georgievich and Taisiya Nikolaevna Arkhipovs. Back in school, she decided to connect her fate with medicine. After leaving school in 1970, she submitted documents to the Tyumen State Medical Institute , but one point was not enough for admission. She entered the Nizhny Tagil Medical School, which she graduated with honors in 1972. After graduating from the school, she worked as a nurse in the department for premature babies of the City Children's Hospital No. 2 of Nizhny Tagil. In 1973 she entered the medical and preventive faculty of the Sverdlovsk State Medical Institute . In parallel with training, she worked as a nurse, first in a clinic, then in the neurological department of the city hospital named after Lepeshinsky, Sverdlovsk.
After graduating from the institute in 1980, she returned to Nizhny Tagil , and joined the City Hospital No. 3 as an intern doctor in therapy. In 1981, she was transferred to a polyclinic at the hospital as a shop doctor, since 1982 she worked in the cardiology department of the hospital as a cardiologist. In 1985, she was appointed Deputy Chief Physician for the treatment part.
After the merger in 1995 of city hospitals No. 2 and No. 3 into the Central City Hospital No. 2 (since 1997, the Demidov Central City Hospital) G. O. Borovyh was appointed deputy chief physician for the therapeutic building (in fact, she headed the former hospital No. 3, where, after the merger, the departments of the therapeutic profile of DCHD concentrated). In 1996, her position received a new name - the chief specialist in therapy. In 1999, she was appointed Deputy Chief Physician at the Demidov Central City Hospital for Therapy. Since 2002 - Deputy Chief Physician of the Demidov Central City Hospital for medical treatment.
Having transferred to leadership work in 1985, she did not interrupt her activity as a practicing cardiologist, and she treated patients with a cardiological profile, including night shifts in the intensive care unit. Much attention was paid to the training of young cardiologists.
Being an excellent diagnostician, possessing a delicate medical intuition, based on wide erudition, and thanks to the ability to find an individual approach in the treatment of patients, G.O. Borovyh saved hundreds of lives over many years of work. She was distinguished by an attentive, sensitive, benevolent attitude to each patient, the ability to set him up for recovery. When discharging patients from the hospital, during patient consultations, she was not limited to dry recommendations for taking medications, but strove to teach a full life with existing problems.
As a deputy head doctor, G.O. Borovykh did a great job on introducing advanced methods of diagnosis and treatment, on organizing new areas of medical care for the population of the city and improving the existing health care system. She paid much attention to equipping the hospital with new, including high-tech equipment.
In 2009, due to a serious illness and the need for long-term treatment, G. O. Borovykh was transferred to the post of methodologist, made a significant contribution to the organizational and methodological support of the hospital.
She died after a severe long illness on June 27, 2011 . She was buried at the Visimsky cemetery in Nizhny Tagil [1] .
