Division Creation
The 10th Guards Fighter Aviation Stalingrad Division was created on August 24, 1943 by renaming for exemplary performance of command assignments in battles with the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown by the 201st Fighter Aviation Stalingrad Division on the basis of the Order of the Non-Commercial Organization of the USSR [1]
Division
The 10th Guards Fighter Aviation Stalingrad Red Banner Order of the Suvorov Division was disbanded on February 28, 1959 as part of the 69th Air Army of the Kiev Military District. Division aviation regiments reorganized:
- The 111th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment was transferred to fighter-bomber aviation , and then reorganized into a separate helicopter squadron on Mi-4 helicopters, followed by reorganization into a separate helicopter regiment;
- On August 21, 1955, the 112th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment was transferred to the 97th Fighter Aviation Division of the Tauride Military District, subsequently (10.11.1959) it was transferred to the 145th Iad of the 48th Air Army of the Odessa Military District and February 24, 1961 reorganized into anti-aircraft missile regiment of air defense;
- The 113th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment was transferred to the 138th Iad of the 69th Air Army of the Kiev Military District, in April 1960 it was transferred to the Air Defense Forces, and on July 01, 1961 it was reorganized into the 392nd Guards Anti-aircraft Missile Regiment of Air Defense.
