Zhumeria (lat.) Is a monotypic genus of dicotyledonous plants of the family Lamiaceae ( Lamiaceae ), including the species Zhumeria majdae Rech.f. & Wendelbo [2] . Highlighted by botanists Karl Heinz Rehinger and Per Erland Berg Vennelbo in 1967 [3] .

The only species is endemic to Iran [4] , widespread in the south of the country [5] .

Zhumeria majdae is widely used in traditional medicine in southern Iran. Different parts of the plant have allelopathic properties [7] . Leaves are used for abdominal pain, painful menstruation. Leaf extract has antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory effects [8] .
