Viktor Ivanovich Trofimenko (born March 8, 1960, Poltava , Ukrainian SSR ) - FSB colonel , member of the Afghan , First and Second Chechen Wars, Hero of the Russian Federation ( 2001 ). An employee of the Office of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in the Belgorod region.

Biography

Born on March 8, 1960 in Poltava. In 1985, he graduated from the Poltava Higher Air Defense Rocket Command School named after Army General N. F. Vatutin . He also graduated from the Higher Courses of Military Counterintelligence of the KGB of the USSR in Novosibirsk, the Academy of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.

Since 1985, he commanded an anti-aircraft artillery platoon, the 744th battery of a separate anti-aircraft missile and artillery battalion of the 7th airborne division. In the late 1980s, he participated in the Afghan war.

In 1988–1995, he served first as a security officer, then as a senior security officer of a special department of the KGB of the USSR in the 7th airborne division of the Baltic Military District , department of military counterintelligence of the Ministry of Security Service of the North-Western Group of the Airborne Division military counterintelligence of the Federal Counterintelligence Service of the Russian Federation on the 125th border detachment of the Caucasian Special Border District. In 1995-1997, the head of the FSB of Russia department for the 41st border detachment of the Caucasian Special Border District.

In 1997 he entered the service in the Office of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in the Belgorod region.

Member of both Chechen wars.

By decree of the President of the Russian Federation of August 28, 2001, for courage and heroism shown in the line of duty, Colonel Trofimenko Viktor Ivanovich was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation with the award of the special distinction - the Gold Star medal.

He lives and serves in Belgorod, is the deputy head of the FSB Directorate of Russia for the Belgorod Region and the head of the Belgorod regional branch of the All-Russian public organization “Russian Association of Heroes”.

He was awarded the Order of Courage, medals, including "For Courage" [1] .
