Battle Path

1991

The 5th Kozarsky brigade adopted baptism of fire during the crossing of the bridge over the Sava River at Gradishka on September 18, 1991 . The goals were access to the Zagreb-Belgrade highway in the Okucan area and the cleansing of Lipika and Pakrac from Croatian militarized units.

1992

The brigade returned to Priedor in March of the following year, where fighters participated in the defense of the city from the Green Berets attack on May 30, 1992 . Later, she participated in Operation Corridor, participating in the battles for Bieli Brd, Kostresh and the assault on the Croatian fortress Plekhan in the town of Derventa , as well as in the battles for Yakesh and Shamats. The operation ended with the victory of the Serbs, and several battalions participated in the battles for Robbery, Vlašić and Egg.

1993

In mid-1993, the team expanded the corridor as part of Operation Assistance, and at the end of the year released Srbobran in the Doni-Wakuf community.

1994

In early 1994, the brigade returned to Krajina and entrenched on the line along the Sava River. The 3rd battalion participated in Operation Breza.

1995

In the spring, the 2nd battalion defended the Doni Wakuf area, and the main forces of the brigade were stationed at Brcko , who in May and June stormed the forces of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina . In the fall, as part of Operation Vagan, she participated in the defense of the Republika Srpska right up to the surrender of the West Krai communities. This brigade retained its combat effectiveness even at the end of the war.

The whole battle path the brigade went with the 43rd Priedorsky motorized brigade .
