Biography
Pavel Kuzmich Dunaev was born on January 23, 1923 into a large family in the village of Kiprevo, Gorodetsky district . Before the war, he graduated from the school of FZU (school of factory apprenticeship) and worked as an electrician at GOGRES in Balakhna . In March 1942 he went to war as a volunteer. He served in the 606th separate communications battalion 233 SD . Participated in battles near Voronezh , near Stalingrad , on the Oryol-Kursk arch . He participated in the battles for Chisinau and Bucharest , liberated Bulgaria and Belgrade , participated in battles near Lake Balaton in Hungary . Was injured. The war ended in Hungary . For military merits, he was awarded high state awards: orders of the Red Star and World War II , medals "For the Defense of Stalingrad" , "For Military Merits" , "For the Liberation of Belgrade" , "For the Victory over Germany" . By the order of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated January 28, 2013 Pavel Kuzmich was awarded the commemorative badge "To the Participant of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 from grateful Nizhny Novgorod residents.
After the war, he worked as the head of the district security and culture department of the Chkalovsky district , from 1965 to 1983 - deputy chairman of the Chkalovsky district executive committee.
