Content
Biography
In 1948 he graduated with honors from the Art Institute. V.I. Surikov , where he studied with Igor Grabar , Vladimir Favorsky , Alexander Deineka .
Since 1945 - an exhibitor of exhibitions [2] . Member of the Moscow Union of Artists [3] from 1944. In 1948-1952. taught painting, drawing and composition at the Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts .
He was buried at the Vagankovsky cemetery [4] .
Creativity
He created the monumental murals of the Moscow metro (two frescoes at the Kievskaya station, 1953), the railway station in Kharkov (1951 - 4 ceiling lights of the entrance hall), the Central Aviation and Space Center (1950 - 54 figures; 1955 - triptych, 64 m 2 ), etc. He designed the Soviet pavilions at the International Exhibitions in Beijing (1954 - 4 panels, 400 m 2 ) and Leipzig (1952). Fulfilled government orders for historical and revolutionary paintings.

Famous for portraiture (portraits of A. S. Serafimovich , V. A. Soloukhin , L. P. Derbenev , N. A. Obukhova , L. V. Tselikovskaya , I. M. Bril , V. E. Tsigal , T. Radimova , S. A. Shcherbakova , G. K. Zhukov , K. K. Rokossovsky , I. N. Kozhedub ).
Personal exhibitions were held in Moscow in 1968, 1978, 1981, 2004 ( Museum of the East ), 2009 (SOVKOM gallery [5] ).
The works are stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery , the State Historical Museum [6] , the Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan , the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War ; in private collections.
