Content
Geography
The municipality is located in the north-eastern part of the Tersky district , on the right bank of the Terek River. Its structure includes one settlement.
The area of the rural settlement is 67.75 km 2 . About 90% of the territory of a rural settlement is agricultural land and arable land.
It borders with the lands of municipalities: Novo-Hamidiye in the south, Terek in the west, and also with the lands of the Mozdok district of North Ossetia in the north and east.
The rural settlement is located on the sloping Kabardian plain , in the flat zone of the republic. The average heights on the territory of a rural settlement are 150 meters above sea level. The terrain is mainly a sloping undulating plain with hilly and kurgan elevations. To the north of the village along the river Terek , stretches Terek ridge.
The hydrographic network is mainly represented by the Terek River and its right tributary Kurp . To the south of the settlement stretch a network of water utilities, used to irrigate fields in the dry season.
The climate is humid temperate with warm summers and cool winters. The average annual air temperature is about + 10.5 ° С, and ranges from average + 23.2 ° С in July, to average -2.5 ° С in January. Minimum temperatures in winter are rarely released below -10 ° C; in summer, maximum temperatures exceed + 35 ° C. The average annual rainfall is about 580 mm. Most of the precipitation falls between April and June. The main winds are the north and northwest. At the end of the summer, dry winds are possible, caused by exposure to air currents emanating from the Caspian lowland .
History
The village people's council at the village Khaptsevo was formed in 1920.
In 1944, as a result of the downsizing of the Terek district, the Khamidiyevsky village council was incorporated into the newly-formed Urozhaynensky district .
In 1959, with the abolition of the Urozhaynensky District, the Khamidievsky Village Council was returned to the Tersk District.
In 1962, the Novo-Khamidiyevskiy village council was separated from the Khamidiyevsky village council as part of the settlements of Novo-Khamidiye and the Aqueduct .
In 1992, the Khamidiyevskiy Village Council was reorganized and transformed into the Khamidiyevskiy village administration.
Hamidiye Municipality is endowed with the status of a rural settlement by the Law of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of February 27, 2005 No. 13-RZ “On the Status and Borders of Municipalities in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic”.
