Kailali ( Nepalese. कैलाली जिल्ला ) is one of the 75 districts of Nepal . It is part of the Sethi zone, which, in turn, is part of the country's Far-West region .

In the west it borders on the districts of Kanchanpur and Dadeldhur of the Mahakali zone, in the north it borders on the Doti district, in the east - on the Surkhet and Bardiya districts of the Bheri zone and in the south - on the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh . Area area - 3235 km ². The administrative center is the city of Dhangadhi .
The population according to the 2011 census is 775,709 people, of which 378,417 men and 397,292 women [1] . According to the 2001 census, the population numbered 616,697 people [2] .
