Biography

From childhood, he was distinguished by vocal abilities. The outbreak of World War II caught him a student of the Higher School. After leaving school, he joined a partisan detachment in 1942, in which he created theatrical troupes from the youth of Grupi teatral and Rinise . The first production was the play “Partizanët” by Fatmira Gyat , in which he played the main role.

He was a leading actor in the Priskë Theater. Since 1945 he studied dramatic art under the guidance of Socrates Myo . In May 1945 he became one of the first actors of the National Theater of Albania in Tirana.

Frasheri's artistic talent flourished in 1947, when he began to play roles in plays by Russian authors and Moliere's plays. The greatest success was brought by the role of Hamlet in the production of the Soviet director Bratko, who worked in 1960 with the team of the National Theater of Albania.

He began working with Soviet directors in 1953, when the actor played the role of Pali in the first Albanian film “The Great Warrior of Albania Skanderbeg ” (1953, directed by Sergey Yutkevich ), filmed jointly by Albanian and Soviet filmmakers.
