Geography
The village is located on the Caspian lowland north of the sands of Davsna [2] . To the south of the village passes the federal highway Astrakhan - Elista .
History
In 1969, by a decree of the Presidium of the Armed Forces of the RSFSR, the village of farm No. 1 of the Prikaspiysky state farm was renamed Salty [3] .
