Kole Nedelkovski (real name and surname - Nikola Christev Nedelkov , Maced. Cole Nedelkovski ; December 16, 1912 , Voynitsa village, near Veles , Ottoman Empire (now the Republic of Macedonia ) - September 2, 1941 , Sofia ) - Macedonian poet. One of the founders of the new Macedonian literature .

Biography

The son of a peasant. Member of the anti-fascist resistance. For participation in the communist movement and resistance against politics, Serbization was persecuted by the authorities. In 1933 he emigrated to Greece, then to Bulgaria. He settled in Sofia, where he soon established contacts with communist activists.

He became an active member of the Macedonian literary circle in Sofia, joined the underground Macedonian youth organization. In 1940 he was included in the sabotage group. Arrested by the police.

As a member of the Central Military Council of the Communist Party Central Committee, engaged in subversive activities against the German military units. He organized the delivery of weapons, documents and the creation of illegal appearances. When trying to arrest in September 1941 in Sofia, he committed suicide by throwing himself out of a window. According to another version was thrown out.

Creativity

Literary activity began in 1938. In poems (collections "Lightning" - "Molskavitsi", 1940; "Walking around the world" - "Pech by light", 1941) in a revolutionary-romantic spirit sang the national liberation struggle of the Macedonian people against the Turkish enslavers, called for resistance to fascism. Used the images and rhythms of folk poetry.
