Biography and career
Born on the island of Nantucket , Massachusetts , in the family of Harry and Kelly Traynor [3] [4] [5] . At the age of 11 she began to write her first songs [6] . At age 17, Traynor won a Tennessee song contest with her own song “You're Good With Me”. At the age of 18, she signed a contract with the agency as a songwriter, after which she settled in Nashville , where she self-released two albums I'll Sing With You and Only 17 .
In 2014, she signed a contract with the recording studio Epic Records , where in the summer of the same year she released her first single “ All About That Bass ”, which soon won first place in the American Billboard Hot 100 and first place in the charts of several other countries [7] . In September 2014 she released her mini-album, Title (EP) , containing three more new songs [8] . On October 21, 2014, Traynor released her second single, “Lips Are Movin,” which was included on her second studio album, Title , scheduled for release on January 13, 2015.
In 2014, Traynor was nominated for the American Music Award in the nomination "New Artist of the Year", which was awarded on November 23, 2014, as well as the People's Choice Awards in the nomination "Discovery of the Year", which was awarded on January 7, 2015 [9 ] [10] .
In 2016, she received the Grammy award as the best novice artist of 2015 [11] . On May 13, 2016, the singer released her second studio album, Thank You [12] .
On December 22, 2018, Traynor married actor Daryl Sabara , with whom she met two years before their wedding [13] .
