RTL 5 is the Dutch commercial television channel, the second channel of the Luxembourg media conglomerate RTL Group in this country. It began broadcasting on October 2, 1993.

History
The channel was first called “RTL V” (where the Roman numeral five was short for Veronica). It began broadcasting on October 2, 1993, becoming the second channel of the RTL Group in the Netherlands. The channel’s target audience was “educated men”. He then showed shows about cars and men's television magazines. Erotic programs were also transferred to him from “ RTL 4 ” [2] .
