The list of lost MI- 8s of all modifications (including MI-9, -14 , -17, -18 , -19, -171 and -172) was compiled from open sources and takes into account only aircraft accidents or the impact of external forces that led to the loss helicopter or its write-off due to damage received.

Within 5 minutes, the crew selected a place for an emergency landing, during which time the fire spread through the helicopter and damaged the controls. The car lost control and fell to the ground. 2 crew members and 10 soldiers of the Angolan army were killed [1] . |
