Biography
The representative of the Polish princely family Radziwill coat of arms " Pipes ". The youngest (second) son of Prince George Friedrich Wilhelm Radziwill (1860-1914), the 15th ordinate of Nesvizh and the 12th ordinate of Kletsky , Countess Maria Rosa Branitskaya (1863-1941), daughter of Count Vladislav Mikhail Branitsky . The elder brother is Prince Anthony Albrecht Wilhelm Raphael Nikolai Radziwill (1885-1935), the 16th ordinate of Nesvizh and the 13th ordinate of Kletsky.
He graduated from the classical gymnasium in Warsaw, studied agriculture at the Jagiellonian University . In 1914 he entered the service in the Russian army. Since 1916 - commander of the squadron of the Pulawski Legion , later served in the 1st Krekhovitsky Uhlansky regiment. He was adjutant to General Jozef Dobbor-Musnicki . Since November 18, 1918 - lieutenant and squadron commander of the 12th Podolsky Uhlan Regiment. In 1919 - 1920 he fought in Ukraine, then entered the reserve with the rank of captain .
In 1920, after the death of his uncle Stanislav Wilhelm Radziwill ( 1880 - 1920 ), the 12th ordinate of David the Town (1904-1920), Karol Nikolai Radziwill inherited an ordination in David Gorodok.
He owned about 155 thousand hectares of land on which he organized exemplary hunting grounds. He lived in Mankovichi, where many of his old military comrades took refuge, arranged holidays there in honor of the 12th Lancer Regiment.
In 1939, at the beginning of the Second World War, Carol Nikolai Radziwill was mobilized into the cavalry in Lukov, then in the defense squadron of the General Staff he was in Brest , then in Polesie . He was captured near Kotsk , but was able to escape. He was able to get an Italian visa and left for Italy, and from there he moved to France. There he joined the Polish Army . After the defeat of his detachment in France, he left for London , where he continued to serve in the Polish Army. Since September 1944, he has been an inspector for troop control affairs. In 1947, Carol Radziwill emigrated to South Africa , where he led a poultry company. In 1964, the Polish division general Anders appointed him major . In 1967, with his wife Isabella Radziwill returned to his homeland.
He died on October 24, 1968 in Warsaw . He was buried in the family tomb at the cemetery in Wilanów .
