Biography
Born in the old Russian village of Golovtsevo (near the then county town of Syzran, now the Samara region) in a peasant family. Russian. At the age of 15 years (in 1939) he finished 7 classes of junior high school and began working on a collective farm.
By the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, Vladimir was 17 years old. In 1941 he entered the Syzran railway school, and after graduating, in February 1942, as part of the paramilitary formation of the railway department, he was sent to Bezymyanka station of the Kuibyshev road (Kuybyshev region of the RSFSR) to participate in the construction of a military aviation factory . He worked at the Kuibyshev Aviation Plant as a fitter of the 5th category on assembling engines for Il-2 attack aircraft, by the end of the war he already worked in the service of the chief mechanic of the enterprise [1] .
With the beginning of the formation of the Soviet Atomic Project in the USSR in 1948, it was sent to work for the then secret military enterprise in the city of Chelyabinsk-40 (now Ozersk ). From February 1949 he worked at Combine No. 817 (now known as the Production Association "Mayak") as a mechanic of the highest, 6th category. He led with his colleagues commissioning work on the installation and debugging of equipment. Then, in 1950, he headed the equipment repair team S. G. M. In July 1955, as an experienced atomic department specialist, he was sent to Tomsk to the secret production association Fifth Mailbox (now SCC). He set up, running in and repaired the equipment of the first reactor, then headed the brigades of highly skilled workers - mechanics, welders, crane operators, compressors of various factories and divisions of the SCC (facilities No. 1, 15, 25, CHP) [1] . The Fedotov Brigade proposed and applied a method for the advance preparation of the most time-consuming repairs and fast-wearing equipment. The units were located in the production premises where repairs were to be made, and only after that an application was made to stop the equipment. This has reduced the time of the average repair of pumps by almost half and significantly reduce labor costs [1] .
In 1968, after coursework, he was transferred by a foreman (shop mechanic) to repair equipment — until he retired in 2002. ... During this period, he and his team members were successfully engaged in rationalization work. Vladimir Ivanovich was a youth mentor, paid much attention to the organization of sports in the city. Himself was a good athlete. [1] .
He was actively involved in social work and participated in local government: he was elected a deputy to the Seversky city council of deputies of the 3 convocations; He was chairman of the board of mentors of the Siberian Chemical Plant. Honored Worker Sibkhimkombinat . Honorary citizen of the city of Tomsk-7 (now Seversk ZATO) - this title was awarded by the decision of the Tomsk-7 city executive committee No. 283 of July 19, 1979. He was a member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU.
He died at the 87th year of life in February 2011. He was buried on the Walk of Fame Sosnovsky cemetery ZATO Seversk.
