History
It was laid on December 1 (12), 1776 at the Solombala shipyard in Arkhangelsk . The construction was carried out under the guidance of the ship master Mikhail Portnov . After launching on May 22 ( June 2 ), 1781 became part of the Baltic Fleet. [one]
In July-September 1781, as part of a squadron, he moved from Arkhangelsk to Kronstadt . He took part in ensuring “ armed neutrality ”. On June 20 ( July 1 ), 1782, as part of a squadron under the command of Vice Admiral V. Ya. Chichagov, he left Kronstadt. Having made the transition along the route Copenhagen - Dil - Lisbon - Gibraltar , he arrived in Livorno on November 17 ( November 28 ), 1782 , where he remained with the squadron until the spring of 1784. After repairs in the port of Feraio , on May 13 (24), 1747, with a squadron, left Livorno and, following the route of Gibraltar - English Channel - Copenhagen , on August 21 ( September 1 ), 1784, arrived in Kronstadt. After the outbreak of the Russian-Swedish war (1788–90) , on July 21 ( August 1 ), 1788, he arrived from Kronstadt to Seskar Island to the fleet there and cruised with him in the Gulf of Finland near Sveaborg until October 16 (27), 1788 when he returned to Kronstadt. [one]
In May 1789 he moved from Kronstadt to Revel , on July 2 (13), 1789, as part of a squadron under the command of Admiral V. Ya. Chichagov, entered the Baltic Sea and took part in the Battle of Åland on July 15 (26), 1789 . Then, until August 16 (27), 1789, he cruised with a squadron in the area of Cape Daguerort and the islands of Bornholm and Gotland , after which he returned to Revel. Already on August 20 (31), 1789, he again went to sea as part of the Reserve Squadron and cruised with her in the Gulf of Finland before returning to Revel on September 20 ( October 1 ), 1789 . October 15 (26), 1789 he came to Kronstadt, where he got up for repairs. [one]
May 26 ( June 6 ), 1790 left Kronstadt, so that after 2 days he joined the fleet and with it entered Vyborg Bay . On June 9 (20), 1790, he took up a position in the center as part of the main forces and on June 22 ( July 3 ), 1790, took part in the Battle of Vyborg , after which he cruised with a squadron at Sveaborg and Parkalaut Peninsula.
