Physical Properties
Diosmilanthan forms crystals of hexagonal syngony , space group P 6 3 / mmc , cell parameters a = 0.5419 nm, c = 0.9083 nm, Z = 4, structure of the type of zinc magnesium MgZn 2 ( Laves phase ) [1] .
At a temperature of ≈1000 ° C and a pressure of 7 GPa, a phase of cubic syngony forms, the space group F d 3 m , cell parameters a = 0.7743 nm, Z = 8, the structure of the type of magnesium cooper MgCu 2 ( Laves phase ) [2] [3] .
At a temperature of 6 K (hexagonal phase) or 9 K (cubic phase), a transition to the superconducting state occurs [4] [5] .
