Pavel Afanasyevich Borsuk (November 12, 1922 - January 10, 2019) - Russian scientist, metallurgical engineer. Winner of the Lenin Prize (1967) and the Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR (1986).

Born in s. Kharsiki Chenukhinsky district of Poltava region of the Ukrainian SSR.
In 1941 he graduated from college. Member of the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, I degree, Glory III degree, medals. In 1943, seriously injured and received a disability.
In 1948 he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel . In 1948-1951 he worked in Chimkent at the plant of automatic press them. Kalinin.
Since 1951 - in the Scientific-Research Institute of Scientific and Technical Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering: graduate student, junior researcher, senior researcher, head of laboratory, since 1967 chief researcher.
Candidate of Technical Sciences (1955). Doctor of Technical Sciences (1972), Professor (1980).
The developer of the technology for producing liquid self-hardening mixtures for the manufacture of casting molds and cores, the creator of the industrial production of highly efficient bonding materials and mixtures, and the manufacture of cores and molds based on them.
Author of more than 100 patents, 74 copyright certificates for inventions. Published 2 monographs.
Winner of the Lenin Prize (1967), Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR (1986).
