Biography
Orthodox. From the baronial Bode clan.
He graduated from the 2nd Moscow Cadet Corps (1889) and the Nikolaev Engineering School (1892), from where he was released as second lieutenant to the 1st sapper battalion. Later he served in the 1st railway and 19th combat engineer battalions.
Ranks: lieutenant (1894), staff captain (1898), captain (1900), lieutenant colonel (1904), colonel (1908).
In 1898 he graduated from the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff in the 1st category. In 1900 he was transferred to the General Staff . He was a senior adjutant to the headquarters of the 1st Guards Infantry Division (1900-1902), assistant to the senior adjutant of the headquarters of the Guards and St. Petersburg Military District (1902-1904) and, finally, headquarters officer for assignments at the same headquarters (1904-1908). January 11, 1908 was appointed a military agent in the United States.
On August 9, 1912 he was appointed chief of staff of the 4th Rifle Brigade, with which he entered the First World War . He was awarded the St. George arms

November 2, 1914 he was appointed commander of the 16th Infantry Regiment . In February 1915 he was wounded in a battle near the village of Tvorilne, and died of his wounds on February 22.
