Geography
Taneyevka is located in the southwestern part of the Yelets district , 22 km southwest of Yelets . Located on the banks of a small drying stream.
History
For the first time, "the village of Taneyevo" was mentioned in the "Economic Notes of Yelets County" in 1778 . Celebrated as “possession of V.I. Taneyev, 19 yards. " The name received from the name of the owner. [2]
In the "List of inhabited places" of the Yelets district of the Oryol province of 1866, it is noted as "the village of owners, 23 yards, 195 inhabitants." In 1880 - 62 yards, 504 people.
In 1905, it is listed as one of the villages in the parish of the Smolensk Church of the village of Bogoroditskoye-Strelnikovo . [3]
According to the 1926 census in Taneyevka 139 yards and 693 residents. In 1932 - 773 people. [four]

Transport
Taneyevka is connected by a dirt road to the village of Kamenskoye .
5 km to the north-east is the Khitrovo railway station (line Yelets - Kastornaya of the South-East Railway ).
Attractions
1.5 km north of Taneyevka is the church of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God (2nd half of the 19th century).
