Biography
Vladimir Ryzhenkov was born on September 11, 1945 in the city of Dobrush (now the Gomel region of Belarus ). In 1964, he graduated from the Gomel Road Construction College, in 1972 - the Belarusian State Institute of Physical Culture, after which he first remained in it to teach, and later worked on the Komsomol and trade union lines [1] . Graduated from Minsk Higher Party School.
Since 1978, he worked as deputy chairman of the Central Council of the Urozhay rural voluntary sports society, since 1979, head of the physical education department of the Committee on Physical Culture and Sports under the Council of Ministers of the Byelorussian SSR, and since 1982, instructor, head of the physical education and sports sector of the administrative department bodies of the Central Committee of the CPB. In July 1990, Ryzhenkov headed the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the Byelorussian SSR. After the collapse of the USSR, when the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus was created, he became its first president. since 1993, head of the department of physical education (on a voluntary basis) of the Academy of Management of Belarus [2] . Since November 1995, Ryzhenkov was Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus [1] .
He died suddenly on December 12, 1996, and was buried in the Eastern cemetery of Minsk [1] .
