Biography

Konstantin Aleksandrovich Sergievsky was born in 1914 in the city of Gorodishche (now the Penza region).

After graduating from FZU school, he began his career in 1932 as a turner for cold metal processing in the tool shop of the Penza Engineering Plant. Without interruption from production, he studied at training courses at a university, then, after a factory trip, he left for Leningrad , where he entered the Leningrad Military Mechanical Institute , which he graduated in 1940 with a diploma in mechanical engineering. He worked at the Leningrad Mechanical Plant. M. I. Kalinina (plant number 4), with whom at the beginning of World War II he was evacuated to Kazan; continued to work at the Kazan precision engineering plant (plant number 144), established in July-August 1941 on the basis of the evacuated plant number 4.

A good organizer and technically trained specialist, Konstantin Aleksandrovich successfully coped with the duties assigned to him by the foreman, senior foreman, technologist and deputy shop manager. Soon he was appointed head of the assembly and equipment shop of the plant.

Under the leadership of K. A. Sergievsky, accelerated development of the production of new special-purpose products was underway.
