Biography
Born February 21, 1936 in the village of Ivankovo, Smolensk region in a peasant family. After graduating from a seven-year school, he went to study in Leningrad, where he enrolled in a railway school. After graduating from the railway school in 1953, he worked as a mechanic, flaw detector technician at the Leningrad-Baltic Locomotive Depot of the October Railway. In April 1954 he went to the Kazakh SSR on a Komsomol permit for the development of virgin lands. In 1955 he entered the Elizabethan School of Mechanization, which he graduated in 1956. From 1956 to 1974 he worked as a tractor driver, driver and head of the workshop of the Izhevsk state farm in the Vishnevsky district of the Tselinograd region. In 1962 he joined the Communist Party. In 1973 he was awarded the honorary title "Honored Worker of Agriculture of the Kazakh SSR." In 1974 he was appointed foreman of the tractor field crop brigade. Since 1990, he worked as a team leader at the Vishnevsky Poultry Production Association.
In 1984, he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor for achieving outstanding performance and labor heroism shown in the fulfillment of plans and socialist commitments to increase the production and sale of grain and other agricultural products to the state. In 1984 he received the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR.
Participated in the All-Union Exhibition of VDNH.
