Creating a shelf

The 41st Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment was formed on February 8, 1943 by renaming the 40th Fighter Aviation Regiment to the Guards for exemplary performance of combat missions and for showing courage and heroism on the basis of the order of the NKO USSR [1] .
