Biography

In 1945, Monroe was enrolled in the Royal Navy of New Zealand and enrolled in the cadets of the in Dartmouth , temporarily located in . After returning to New Zealand, Ian entered the service of the research ship " " and before transferring to the Hydrographic Branch, participated in the Korean War on the frigate " " [1] .
