Biography
Year of birth 1941. He studied violin at a children's music school. He studied at the muses. School, but did not graduate, as he was drafted into the army. He worked as a musician in brass and pop bands.
Boris Mikhailovich Feoktistov began his church singing activity with church obedience: he guarded, janitored, was an altar boy and a psalm-reader in Moscow churches. I visited monasteries like a pilgrim.
Optional course at the Regent courses in Moscow and the Moscow Diocese.
Conductor
As a conductor, B. M. Feoktistov created a concert choir for performances in spiritual concerts, as well as at festivals of church music and deacon art. At the Melody company, this choir recorded works by Russian church classics: S. V. Rakhmaninov , as well as works by A. V. Nikol'skii , V. S. Kalinnikov , P. G. Chesnokova , A. T. Grechaninova , K. N Shvedov . A recording of the funeral service (β Requiem β) was made at the Novospassky Monastery.
The firm "Melody" recorded an essay in the author's performance "Liturgy of sv. Joanna Zlatoustago and Patriarchal Vestments. In the House of the recording was recorded "Great Requiem" (" Parastas ").
Composer
In parallel with the regent case, he began to study spiritual and musical compositions, which were performed by Moscow regents ( N. V. Matveyev , N. S. Georgievsky, etc.) at the service of worship. Then he continued his composer activities, writing compositions for piano, vocalists (romances), for a symphony orchestra. Music was written for the film about A.S. Pushkin (where the artist D. Belyukin took part), as well as for the anniversary year of the 1000th anniversary of the Baptism of Russia. In the future, the heroic-epic opera " Ilya Muromets " was written.
Publishing house "Kupina" published the essay of B. M. Feoktistov "The Patriarch's Vestment" dedicated to His Holiness His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II and dedicated to the 40th anniversary of His ministry in the hierarchy.
In 1993, His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II was at the opening of the exhibition in the Manezh dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the killing of the royal family and the choir, under the direction of the author, was invited to perform the requiem chants "Eternal memory to all for the Faith and Fatherland slain" (" Parastas ").
B. M. Feoktistov takes part as a composer, music editor and director in the preparation and holding of Christmas festivals, organized by the United Orthodox Russia Orthodox.
