Tofig Huseynovich Akhundov ( azerb. Tofiq Hüseyn oğlu Axundov ; born November 28, 1941 , Baku , Azerbaijan SSR , USSR ) is a Russian circus artist, author of a show with hippos , works at the Russian State Circus .

Biography
Born on November 28, 1941 [1] in Baku in a family where only father Huseyn Akhundov was related to art - he worked as an artist at Mosfilm .
He has been working at the Rosgoszirk since 1965 immediately after graduating from the State School of Circus and Pop Art . [2] Tofig Huseynovich has been engaged in his show for more than 30 years: the hippos Jan, Zlata and Aida and another hippopotamus (later he gave it to the Sochi aquarium) he acquired one year old in the Ramat Gan safari park in Israel. The An-12 transport aircraft delivered future artists to Moscow. [3]
With a trio of pets and an attraction called the Hippopotamus Show, he traveled to many countries in Europe and Asia. The wife Lyudmila helps him in his work. [four]
