Biography
Vitaly Mintenko was born in the town of Storozhynets in Bukovina. Pupil of the Kiev Sportinternat [1] . He started playing at a professional level as part of Lutsk Volyn , for which he played four matches in 1989, after which he joined the ranks of Dynamo Kyiv. However, in the composition of Kiev never on the field did not appear, having played two seasons for the double.
In 1992, he joined the Bukovina Chernivtsi, where he immediately became a player in the base. The confident game of a football player made the second time draw the attention of the coaching staff of Dynamo to him, and Mintenko returned to Kiev . For two seasons in the “white-blue” Vitaly twice became the champion of the country and once won the cup , but was content mainly with the substitution, which could not suit him, so in 1994 he decided to try his hand abroad and went to Israel .
However, abroad, the footballer also failed to show his best qualities, in search of his own game, he changed one Israeli club to another, after which he decided to return to Ukraine, where he accepted the offer of the Bukovina coaching staff. Upon returning to Chernivtsi , Mintenko started a successful period: he showed quite decent performance, scoring 20 goals for two seasons, and in the 1995/96 season together with the team took second place in the First League tournament, passing only Poltava Vorskla , which showed at that time a strong, as for the First League, game.
In 1997, the Mintenko in transit through Ivano-Frankivsk “ Prikarpatye ” was in Donetsk “Metallurg”. In the new club, Vitali started very powerfully, but later his game deteriorated somewhat, and in 1999 he was leased to Jerusalem Hapoel , and in 2001 the footballer tried his strength at Krivbass also on a rental basis.
In 2002, Vitaly Mintenko joined the ranks of Dnipropetrovsk-based Dnipro , but in one of the control matches he was seriously injured - a broken leg [2] . Because of this, he missed almost the entire season, and 2003 was his last career - after just one match in the Dnepr team, the player switched to Metalist Kharkiv, with whom he won the First League silver and the right to play in the top division . However, the season in the elite of Kharkov began already without Mintenko. There were rumors of Vitali’s return to big football as a Bukovina player, but due to certain reasons they didn’t come true [3] .
