A gruppetto ( ital. Gruppetto ) is a melodic decoration consisting of several sounds: upper auxiliary, main, lower auxiliary and main. It is performed due to the duration of the main note.
If the group is between notes, then it is performed due to the duration of the previous note.
In modern musical notation, reception is rarely used.
