Biography

Alexander Mironov was born on January 22, 1984 in the city of Orel . He began to actively engage in cycling in early childhood on the advice of a friend, was trained at a local youth sports school, at different times he trained under the guidance of specialists such as A. A. Afonin, G.F. Eroshkin, V.V. Fokin. He was a member of the sports club of the Armed Forces.

He achieved his first serious success in road cycling in 2005, when he won the Russian Youth Championship, won the seventh stage of the multi-day Tour of the Baltic - Krkonoše race in Poland, and took third place in the general classification of the Guadeloupe Tour. In 2007, he signed a contract with the Latvian professional team Rietumu Bank-Riga, took part in the one-day Mayor Cup race, where he finished second, and in the multi-day Five Moscow Rings , becoming the third overall. The next season he was the second in the Paris-Troyes race, located on the second line in the general classification of the Five Rings of Moscow, won at separate stages of the Rhone-Alps Tour and the Path to Beijing .

Since 2009, Mironov has played for the Katyusha continental farm clubs, participating in competitions of the second category European tour. He showed the fifth result in the standings of Paris - Troyes, closed the top ten strongest Tours of Loire and Cher, became the eighth in the Five Rings of Moscow, won the second stage of Circuito Montanes in Spain. 2010 was one of the most successful in his sports career, followed by victories in the prestigious Trophy Franco Balestra race in Italy, in the Oleg Dyachenko Memorial in Russia, won the sixth stage of the Normandy Tour, and was fourth in the general classifications of multi-day races at the “Tour of Slovakia” and “Five Rings”, he finished sixth at the “ Grand Prix of Moscow ”, won a bronze medal in the program of the all-Russian highway championship [1] .

In 2012, Alexander Mironov transferred to the Rusvelo team, won three stages of the national friendship of the peoples of the North Caucasus race, won the third stage of the Adygea Grand Prix , was close to winning the Mayor’s Cup, Moscow Grand Prix , on the "Five Rings of Moscow" became the tenth in the general classification [2] [3] . In the 2013 season he participated in such prestigious bicycle races as Etoile de Bessege, Laigeyli Trophy, Three Days in West Flanders, Tour Drenthe, Handzame Classic, Classic Loire-Atlantic, Giro del Trentino ”,“ Belgium Tour ”,“ Normandy Week ”,“ Milan - Turin ”, etc., however, they did not achieve much success [4] [5] .

For outstanding sports achievements he was awarded the honorary title " Master of Sports of Russia of the international class ."
