TVR Timișoara or Televiziunea Română Timișoara (from Romanian - “Romanian Television - Timisoara”) is a regional Romanian TV channel of the city and the Judean Timisoara and nearby neighborhoods, launched on October 17, 1994 . Submits to the leadership of the Third Program of the Romanian Television . Broadcasts on the territory of cities and counties Timisoara , Arad , Karash-Severin and Hunedoara .

History
The opening of a regional television studio in Timisoara took place on October 17, 1994 : by that time in Romania there were regional studios of Romanian television in Cluj (founded in 1990) and Iasi (founded in 1991). Initially, the volume of broadcasting did not exceed 35 minutes per week.
January 25, 2002 there was another shift in the regional television of Romania: the volume of broadcasting increased to 2 hours. Broadcasting of regional TV channels began to be conducted from 18 to 20 hours on the frequency of TVR2 . From March 19, 2007 satellite broadcasting began: for Timisoara, it is provided by the SESAT satellite.
In terrestrial digital networks since May 1, 2007, the Timisoara television studio is on channel 57. It broadcasts films and programs of its own production, as well as programs from TVR1 , TVR2 , TVRi and TVR Cultural . From November 10, 2008 submits to the leadership of the third channel TVR3 .
