History
1941
415 SD began to form in September 1941, according to the order of the troops of the 25th Army No. 0059 of September 6 of the same year. The formation took place in the area of the Razdolnoye station of the Ussuri railway. The command, command and political structure was appointed from among the personnel of the 25th and 1st armies and partially from the reserve. The rank and file was staffed by the builders of Komsomolsk-on-Amur , coal miners Suchan , residents of Primorye and Amur .
On September 21, the entire personnel of the division was sworn in. A month later, on October 21, 415 SD received an order to be sent to the front, where she followed the route Razdolnoye - Khabarovsk - Novosibirsk - Kimel - Kuybyshev - Barybino . On November 7, in Kuibyshev, the division took part in the parade [2] . After arriving at the destination and unloading, she proceeded on a march to Kalugino ( Serpukhov district of the Moscow region ), where she concentrated to repel the Germans advancing in the direction of Serpukhov .
The baptism of fire took place on the night of November 13, 1941, when a 1321 joint venture near the village of Romanovka entered into battle with the advancing units of the German 263rd Infantry Division , preventing it from cutting the Moscow-Serpukhov highway. On November 14, 415 SD had the task of capturing the Barsuki-Komarovo-Pokrov border. She managed to push the enemy back and occupy several settlements, but the Germans launched a counterattack and again pushed her to the Burinovo junction, where she took up the defense.
In the period from November 25 to December 25, 1941 the division defended itself at the Burinovo-Stanki line. With the beginning of the counterattack near Moscow, the division, breaking the German defenses, began to advance in the direction of Maloyaroslavets . On December 31, she was reassigned to the 43rd Army and, changing direction, moved with battles to the city of Medyn .
1942
On January 23, 1942, 415 SD, regrouping, launched an offensive in the direction of Makarovo - Bolshaya Fatyanovka, with the task of capturing Art. Myatlevo , whom she successfully captured on January 30, after which she reached the Voronka - Yudino line . Here a new task was set for her, and, turning off the Warsaw highway , she fought in the direction of Mochalka - Kalinovka - Semenovskoye - Ukhovo - Belitsy - Agaryshi, then concentrating in the area of Krapivka - Telelyui - New Village - Agaryshi. Under the village of Krapivka, she encountered a strong enemy resistance knot and suffered significant losses.
In April 1942, during the Rzhev-Vyazemsky operation, the 33rd Army was surrounded. To alleviate its situation, the 415th unit advanced in the direction of Zakharovo-Birch-Shelomets to meet the breaking army, but at the turn of the Birch-Shelomtsy it encountered strong resistance. As a result, the division fought in the area for several weeks.
On March 24, after a five-day rest, the 415th SD again entered the battle, advancing forward in the area of Borisenka - Aksinino - Bolshoy Ustye.
In the summer, the division took part in the Pogorel-Gorodishchensky operation (August 4–23, 1942). On August 6, turning around from the left flank of 354 SD, she took possession of Korolevo. By the end of August 7, the division, together with the 11th tank brigade, reached the Yelnya - Pushkino line . By the end of August 20, she, advancing on Karmanovo , reached Roshchino, and by the end of August 23 she was at the line of Subbotino - Pilepa - Chuikovo.
