Biography
Representative of the Polish gentry clan Branicki coat of arms "Korczak" . The son of a Galician cousin Jozef Branicki (d. 1735 ) and Teresa Iskra.
Since 1729, he served as the Galician of the Galician . In 1744 - 1762 he held the position of Bratslavl's chestnut .
In 1729, Pyotr Branitsky was elected commissar from the Galician land to the Scarb tribunal. He was elected ambassador ( deputy ) from the Galician land to the Diet in 1724 , 1736 and 1740 .
In 1729, he was a comrade in a carapace of banners, and from 1733, a captain in a carapace of banners.
On August 3, 1754 Peter Branicki was awarded the Order of the White Eagle in Warsaw .
Family and Children
Pyotr Branitsky was married to Valeria Melania Šembek , the daughter of the Auschwitz cousin Peter Wojciech Šembek (d. 1738 ) and Barbara Nelepets (d. 1749 ). Their kids:
- Frantisek Xavier Branicki ( 1731 - 1819 ), Hetman the Great Crown
- Elzbieta Branicki ( 1733 - 1800 ), the first husband from 1753 was the elder Sokolovsky Jan Jozef Sapega (c. 1734 - 1761 ), the second husband from 1756 was Major General Jan Sapega ( 1732 - 1757 ).
