“ Between an Angel and a Demon ” ( French: Les anges gardiens , literal translation - Guardian Angels ) is a French crime fiction comedy directed by Jean-Marie Poiret in 1995 with Gerard Depardieu and Christian Clavier in the lead roles. Poiret made this comedy between the films " Aliens " and " Aliens 2 ". “Between the Angel and the Demon” had the largest budget among 1995 French films, but in terms of the number of viewers (5.7 million) it took second place in the country, losing to “ Three Brothers ”.

Story
Antoine Carco - the owner of the famous Parisian cabaret with striptease. He leads the measured life of a rich man, but everything changes after the call of a longtime friend who, before his death, manages to ask Antoine to pick up the boy from Hong Kong and deliver him to his mother in Paris. Antoine agrees, as he will have to take a large amount of money with the boy. However, in Hong Kong, the Chinese mafia begins to hunt for him, so he decides to take out the boy, and at the same time money, using for this priest Herve Taren, accompanying a group of children from the shelter. Upon arrival in France, Carco takes the money, leaving the boy in a shelter, for which the priest curses him. Now life for Antoine turns into a real nightmare, as his conscience begins to haunt him in the image of a guardian angel. But where there is yin , there is yang, and therefore the priest himself, in turn, begins to be pursued by the demon tempter. In addition, the Chinese mafia does not sleep and continues to hunt already in France.
