History

For the first time, the Lesdrevmash exhibition was held in 1973 in the pavilions of the Sokolniki recreation park. The initiator of its creation was the Ministry of Forestry, Pulp and Paper and the Wood Processing Industry of the USSR . At that time, the forest was one of the most important export items - in 1971-1975. timber supplies ranked fifth in the overall export structure of the USSR. The exhibition "Lesdrevmash" from the very beginning has become the hallmark of the country. Today the forum is one of the leading industry events; it is held with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation. The forum events are attended by more than 400 companies from Europe, America, Asia, Russian enterprises, representatives of international structures and national industry associations from around the world.
