Smarde ( Latvian: Smārde ) is a stopping point in the village of Smarde , Engure region , on the electrified Tornakalns - Tukums II line . All electric trains from Riga - Tukums I and Riga - Tukums II stop here.

History
Smarde station was built along with the Riga - Tukums line and was opened in 1877. Then the station had 3 tracks and a cargo ramp. The original passenger building has not been preserved. Existing today was built in 1930 [1] . After electrifying the line, the station received two tracks with contact suspension, so that electric trains could disperse here. In the 1980s, the station was converted into a stopping point, unused tracks were dismantled in the 1990s.
The distance to the Riga-Pasazhyeru station is 51 km.
