The station was built on the line of the Galicia Railway named after Karl Ludwig ( Krakow - Tarnow - Rzeszow - Przemysl - Lviv - Krasnoye - Ternopol - Podvolochisk ) in 1856 , when this territory was part of the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria . Now on the Polish section is the line Krakow-Glavny - Medyka leading to the Polish-Ukrainian border .
