History
The construction of the mosque was ordered by Kapudan Pasha , as well as the brother of the great vizier Rustem Pasha , Sinan Pasha , who did not live to see the end of construction. The famous Mimar Sinan was appointed an architect. It is believed that Mimar Sinan chose the Mosque in Edirne [1] as the model for the construction of the mosque. The mosque is rectangular in shape, the central part is covered with a dome on sails [1] . At the mosque there was a madrasah . The fountain for ablutions is made of marble. The Minbar , to the right of which there is a mihrab , is decorated with floral ornaments and calligraphy.
