Pleuranthodium comptum (lat.) - a species of monocotyledonous plants of the genus Pleuranthodium of the Ginger family ( Zingiberaceae ). Under the current taxonomic name was described by the British botanist Rosemary Margaret Smith in 1991 [2] [3] .

Endemic of Papua New Guinea [4] . The type specimen is assembled on the island of New Guinea [5] .
