Biography
He studied at Kiev University , was a member of the party of socialist revolutionaries , first Russian, since 1917 - in the Ukrainian [2] . In 1917, he was a candidate for the Kiev City Duma and for the All-Russian Constituent Assembly in the Podolsk constituency from the Ukrainian Party of Socialist Revolutionaries [3] [4] . He corresponded with prominent figures of the People’s Will , including Vera Figner , N. A. Morozov [5] [6] . In 1917-1918 he headed the pharmaceutical department of the Ministry of Public Health and Guardianship of the Ukrainian People’s Republic [7] . In 1918, he became a member of the subcommittee for health care reform in Ukraine.
Since 1922 he was the director [8] [9] and the first head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry of the Vinnitsa Pharmaceutical College and at the same time professor of the agrobiological department of the Vinnitsa Pedagogical Institute [10] . In 1926, he obtained permission to conduct his course in pharmaceutical chemistry at the Vinnitsa Pharmaceutical College without prior censorship in Ukrainian [11] .
In the 1920s, he was a researcher in the Cabinet for the Study of Podillia [12] . In 1933, he became one of the founders of the Vinnitsa Medical Institute (initially a pharmaceutical one, organized on the basis of a pharmaceutical college), the first head of the department of chemistry and pharmacology (1933-1937) [13] [14] . His brother, Yakov Konstantinovich Moreinis, was the first head of the department of biochemistry in the same place (1933-1936). He lived in apartment No. 13 in the 2nd house of the regional executive committee No. 15 on Kotovsky street in Vinnitsa [15] .
L.K. Moreynis is the author of the monograph "Eteri olii: Before feeding about organizing virobnitry at the Vinnitsa eterov oli" ( essential oils: organizing the production of essential oils , Vinnitsa: Lenin Printing House, 1929), the reprinted textbook "Fundamentals of Pharmaceutical Chemistry" ( Fundamentals pharmaceutical chemistry , 1929; 2nd edition - Kiev , 1934; 3rd edition - Kiev, 1937), - the first textbook on this discipline in Ukrainian [16] .
He died in October 1937 in Vinnitsa [17] .
Family
Daughter - Natalya Lvovna Moreynis, worked as a journalist in the regional newspaper Bіlshovitska Pravda. Grandson - sociologist Yuri Alexandrovich Levada . [18]
