Kiryanov, Alexander Vladimirovich

Aleksandr Vladimirovich Kiryanov ( January 28, 1966 , Vyborg - December 31, 1994 , Grozny ) - Captain of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation , participant of the First Chechen War , Hero of the Russian Federation ( 19 ). Head of the command post of the 559th Bomber Aviation Regiment of the 4th Air Army of the North Caucasus Military District.

Biography

Born on January 28, 1966 in the city of Vyborg, Leningrad Region. Russian. In 1981, he finished 8 classes of secondary school in Vyborg, in 2 years - vocational school No. 203, after which he entered the Armed Forces.

In 1987 he graduated from the Voroshilovgrad Higher Military Aviation School [1] . He served in the aviation regiment in the Transcaucasian Military District (the city of Kutaisi, Georgian SSR). In 1993 he was transferred to the 559th Bomber Aviation Regiment of the 4th Air Army of the North Caucasus Military District (the city of Morozovsk, Rostov Region ). He served as a military command officer, then head of command and control. In December 1994, he was seconded as an officer-aircraft operator to the 81st motorized rifle regiment, with which he participated in the First Chechen War.

He corrected the actions of aviation, ensured accurate missile and bomb strikes. In battles he personally destroyed up to 10 Dudayevites.

On December 31, 1994, while moving along Ordzhonikidze Street to the center of Grozny (to Minutka Square ) on the armor of an infantry fighting vehicle together with the regiment commander Colonel Alexei Yaroslavtsev, Kiryanov saw a militant who was aiming at an infantry fighting vehicle using a grenade launcher in one of the windows of a residential building. He closed the colonel with his body from the rupture of a grenade, died on the spot.

Buried at the Southern Cemetery in Vyborg .

By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 236 dated January 27, 1995, for courage and heroism shown in the performance of a special task, Captain Alexander Kiryanov was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation (posthumously). His family was awarded the Gold Star Medal (No. 108).

In 2007, in Vyborg, on a college building (former vocational school No. 203) at ul. PF Ladanova, 35/27 [2] , in which the Hero studied, a memorial plaque [3] was installed with the inscription: “Your feat is priceless, the name is immortal. Hero of Russia captain Alexander Vladimirovich Kiryanov studied here. ” Members of the Soldier’s Mother Committee meet annually on this board on November 26, and commemorate soldiers who died in Chechnya [4] .

Family

His wife is Irina Kiryanova, a corporal in the aviation unit in Morozovsk, a son is Sergey Kiryanov [5] .
