Biography

Born on March 19, 1944 in the village of Afanasevka, Alekseevsky district, Voronezh (now Belgorod ) region [2] . He graduated from the Pavlovsk Pedagogical College of the Voronezh Region, the Voronezh College of Music, Moscow State University of Culture .

He worked as a singing teacher, led the choir groups of the Alekseevsky District House of Culture, the Kustovsky rural House of Culture of the Yakovlevsky District, the Belgorod Mica Factory and the children's folklore group in the village of Afanasyevka.

In 2002, I.I. Veretennikov was admitted to the Union of Composers of Russia .

A significant place in his activity is occupied by pedagogical work. In the years 1974-1998, Ivan Ivanovich worked at the Belgorod College of Music, made a significant contribution to the opening of the department of the folk choir; Since 1998 - lecturer at the Belgorod State Institute of Arts and Culture .

Currently, I.I. Veretennikov is an assistant professor at the Belgorod State Institute of Arts and Culture and a senior researcher at the Belgorod State Center for Folk Art .

Folkloristics

Since 1964, Ivan Ivanovich has been recording samples of the traditional folk art of the region - more than a thousand songs have been recorded, more than 300 - published in collections of different regions.

In 1968, Ivan Veretennikov organized in Belgorod a folklore ensemble of students from vocational education systems, which he supervised until 1980. The ensemble repeatedly became a laureate and diploma winner of international and All-Russian festivals of folk art, the World Festival of Youth and Students in Berlin (1973). The collective has visited concert tours in many countries of Europe and Algeria; He was a participant in the final concert of the winners of the All-Union Festival of Folk Art (1978) in the Kremlin Palace of Congresses.

In 1973, I. Veretennikov opened a department of Russian folk singing at the Belgorod College of Music (now the Institute of Arts and Culture). Together with his folklore groups, Ivan Ivanovich took part in many scientific and practical conferences of the regional and All-Russian level in the cities of Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, Moscow, in the scientific symposium in the city of Shmalkalden (Germany), is a laureate of the II All-Union festival of folk art in the RSFSR (1986), was a participant in the I International Festival of Folklore in Moscow (1987).
