History
The Midwest Regional Council was formed on May 26, 2006 and includes the former County Council of Maggie and parts of the former counties of Merriva and Rilston. The council also includes the territory of the historic County of Vaeldra , which existed from 1906 to 1941.
Settlements
The capital of the RMS is the city of Maji , which houses all the governing bodies of the council. The area also includes the cities of Galgong , Railston , Kandos and the villages of Baylong and Ilford . The area is predominantly agricultural; coal mining is also well developed.
