Born on July 25, 1943, near the town of Chita, in the village of the Karymskoe railway station, into the family of a soldier.
From 1953 he lived in the city of Syzran . After school, he entered the technical school at the Syzran Heavy Machinery Plant, and after graduation - at the evening department of the machine-building institute. In the second year I transferred to the full-time department of the Kuibyshev Industrial Institute .
On January 28, 1967, he arrived in Kaluga and on February 4 he entered the newly built experimental motor plant as a mechanic. A year later, he was appointed deputy head and then head of the workshop.
Head of Production (1972), then Deputy. production director. In 1978 he graduated in absentia from the Moscow Institute of Management. S. Ordzhonikidze . On December 31, 1980, by the order of the USSR Ministry of Aviation Industry, he was appointed director of the Kaluga Motor-Building Plant (since 1993, Kadvi OJSC).
