Born August 5, 1942 in the village. Poroz Belgorod region . He graduated from the Physico-Technical Faculty of Kharkov State University (1965).

In 1966-1993 the head of the laboratory, the head of the department of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Electronic Equipment Materials (VNIIMET, Kaluga) In 1993–2006 Deputy General Director for Science, OJSC Ametist, Production Association Granat (Kaluga), since 2014 Chief Designer of OJSC Bimetall, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ametist JSC.
