Content
History
The street is named in memory of the Soviet cosmonaut, twice Hero of the Soviet Union Andriyan Grigorievich Nikolaev .
The street was formed in 1972 by combining the Institutskaya and Pliev streets into a single street and renaming them into Nikolayev Street. Institutskaya Street was formed on June 17, 1947, when the city council assigned the name “Institutskaya Street” to the western side of blocks 557 and 558. The name “Plieva Street” was given on June 17, 1947 to street between quarters 554, 555, 566, 568, 750, 755 and 756.
