Biography
The son of Major Ivan Dmitrievich Naryshkin (1776-1848) from his marriage with Varvara Ivanovna Ladomirskaya (1785-1840), the late daughter of Empress Catherine II's favorite I.N. Rimsky-Korsakov and Countess E.P. Stroganova . Born in Moscow and received home education.
After the end of the Page Corps , in April 1831 he was enlisted as a cornet in the Cavalier Guard regiment . Since 1834, the lieutenant, was an adjutant under Count S.F. Apraksin . Since 1836, the captain-captain, since 1840 the captain. In 1844, he was dismissed on indefinite leave, with the first cavalry guard squadron being assigned to the reserve. In October 1848 he returned to service, but in July 1849, due to illness, retired with the rank of colonel [1] .
Not a name in his youth nothing [2] except for a secular mind, a beautiful face and good nature, Naryshkin lived cheerfully and carefree, until he got married. His sister, Zinaida Yusupova, lent him the initial capital, and he engaged in the purchase. Having made a huge fortune, Naryshkin repaid his debt and bought a large estate of ареagarė in the Coven province from Count Zubov [3] . Living almost constantly in St. Petersburg without any official position, he was close to the court, and extremely picky in his acquaintances.
He was known to the whole society under the name Dima Naryshkin and was the soul of his house [4] , where he hosted evenings and receptions, and accepted only the most chosen society and the entire diplomatic corps [5] . A great music lover, Naryshkin was friends with A. S. Dargomyzhsky and M. I. Glinka . According to a contemporary, he was always cheerful, sweet, amiable, always raving about some new romance or verse, and without stopping telling jokes from his life, he knew that something new was being printed, he understood people to the finer point, indulgently made fun of their weaknesses and never He did not give a reason to notice the shadow of an envious or other hostile feeling [3] . In recent years, he suffered from rheumatism and hardly slept at night. He died in March 1866 in St. Petersburg and was buried in the cemetery of the Sergius Primorsky Desert .

Wife (from September 6, 1846) [6] - Maria Arsenievna Barteneva (1816–1870), maid of honor of the court (1838), daughter of the Kursk military governor Arseny Bartenev (1780–1861) and Fedosya Ivanovna Buturlina (1790–1835); sister of the famous singer P. A. Barteneva . The wedding was in St. Petersburg at the Court Church in the Winter Palace. Maria Arsenievna was a friend of Lermontov , in her album the poet in 1841 recorded the poems "Dead Man's Love" and "There are speeches - meaning ...". According to A.A. Polovtsov , there was a kind, honest, caring, loving family woman. Having spent her youth at court, she was accustomed to the strict, silent, tireless performance of duty and at the same time to the most thorough observance of decency. Etiquette existence did not drown the feelings in her; she loved her husband and children without memory; spent all day in troubles about their health, well-being, and with all that with excellent friendliness, she received numerous guests in her house [3] . - Alexandra Dmitrievna (1846-1914), since 1873 married to Count O. L. Medem (1847-1925).
- Georgy Dmitrievich (1848-1914), chamber junker, married to Elizabeth Iosievna Knaith.
- Maria Dmitrievna (1849-1925), since 1874 married to Prince Fyodor Sergeyevich Golitsyn (1850-1920).
- Alexander Dmitrievich (1851-1894), his children from extramarital affairs were approved in 1899 in the hereditary nobility.
- Zinaida Dmitrievna (1853-1928), married to the Marquis Casimo Rudolfi.
- Varvara Dmitrievna (1856-1937), married to the Marquis Emilio Pucci.
